Espanola council will swear in a new councilor tonight.
Espanola Mayor Ron Piche will welcome Heather Malott-Dougan who had 905 votes in the 2014 election.
Malott-Dougan meets all the requirements for council and was the seventh candidate in line for a seat
She will fill a vacancy left by Stewart Miekleham who was first elected in 2010.
She will be formally sworn in and welcomed by council at 7:30pm in council chambers.
