Operation Christmas Child is now under way in Elliot Lake.
Samaritans Purse, which oversees Operation Christmas Child, provides shoe boxes to Third World children in war-torn or disaster areas around the World.
Boxes can be filled with hygiene products, such as a tooth brush, a comb, pair of gloves, a toque, even a small ball.
The public can pick up a shoe box at New Life Pentecostal Assembly on Esten Drive in Elliot Lake or call 705-848-3333.
Various businesses are also taking part in the program, including Food Land, No Frills and Shoppers Drug Mart.
The deadline is November 14th.
