A 24-year-old man is charged with attempted murder after a stabbing on Manitoulin Island. In addition, the man is looking at charges of uttering threats to cause death, assault with a weapon, aggravated assault and possession of weapons for a dangerous purpose. The stabbing took place in Wikwemikong last Monday. The accused fled the scene but was found and arrested the next day with help from the OPP and UCCM police. As for the victim, he’s recovering from his injuries at Health Sciences North.
