It’s back to the drawing board for Elliot Lake council for its multi-use complex. Council rejected a recommendation from its ad hoc committee to build the complex on the vacant land where the Algo Centre Mall once stood. The recommendation also said Centennial Arena could be the back-up site with the Civic Centre serving as the third option. However councillors Candace Martin, Scot Reinhardt, Norman Mann and Connie Nykaforak rejected the recommendation resulting in the vote being lost 4-3.
